Why Math4Me Exists
Most kids don't dislike math — they dislike the version of math that only rewards memorization. Math4Me is built around the version that rewards understanding instead.

Math4Me started from a simple observation: the kids who describe themselves as "bad at math" are almost always the kids who were taught math as a list of steps to memorize, with no picture, story, or reason attached. Meanwhile, the kids who seem naturally good at it have usually just stumbled onto a few flexible mental strategies — often on their own — that make numbers feel like something they can push around, not just follow instructions for.
This site collects those strategies deliberately, instead of leaving it to chance. Every page covers grade-level math the way most curricula already do — but paired with the fastest, most memorable, most real-world way to actually learn it, based on the four filters described in Our Approach.
